I work freelance as a Certified Play Therapist, registered Sandplay Therapist and Clinical Supervisor in Surrey, UK; working with children, & adults with all range of difficulties in schools and in private practice. I’m also employed by the local authority to provide clinical supervision for pastoral support workers in schools providing group and individual supervision.
Sandplay is my passion and I have now been a registered Sandplay Therapist since July 2018, working with children and adults providing this wonderful medium in a safe and secure space. I love to see the transformation that sand facilitates for my clients and am often in wonder and awe at the ability of the human psyche to find a way to heal. We are all on a journey (a cliché but so very true) and the next stage of my own journey is to become a registered Sandplay Consultant helping others provide the environment and sacred space for healing to occur.
As well as my work in the UK I head up a charity in the UK which supports a community-based project in Nakuru, Kenya, working with children who live on the streets. We are a very young project, but the team in Kenya work with such passion and dedication, determined to make life better for our fellow human beings.
In March 2020 I was invited to join the board of AST and am delighted to be part of this wonderful organisation. I’m excited to be part of an organisation whose moto is clarity, loving kindness and humility, and look forward to working as a team to promote this through sandplay.
